The entire voting system relies heavily on bribery. Bribe the people with potential goodies for votes, accept bribes from special interests to further one's own campaign - totally legal there, right? Anything which works in the government's favor often turns into a moral exception. At least private companies cannot break their own terms and conditions without utterly losing credibility.[/quote]Not really sure what you are saying here, are you saying it would be better to have private companies run things like the police force than the government? Because I think that's just wrong. Private companies only care about profit, they don't care if they lose credibility so long as the people at the top are making money, look at banks for example or look at the health companies that did the PIP Brest Implats, those companies "shut down" so they wouldn't have to lose money on removing the implants, they set back up under a new name leaving the UKs NHS to foot the bill. Nothing good comes from turning over valuable services to the private sector. Patiants become customers, prisoners become slave labour, etc. |
